2017-18 School Year Art Grants

Each year, Sauk County Art Association awards grants to the art departments in two of five surrounding Sauk County school districts.

For the 2017-18 school year, the grants go to Sauk Prairie High School and Weston High School. Grants are worth $600 and may be used however the department desires.

The Sauk County Art Association (SCAA) presents two $600.00 grants annually. This year the grants were given to the River Valley High School Art Department, Janice Von Stein, teacher and to the Sauk Prairie High School Art Department, Therese Miskulin-Brethorst. We are proud to help further art education in Sauk County.

For more than 30 years, the SCAA has given grants to the five area high school art departments, Baraboo, Reedsburg, River Valley, Sauk Prairie, and Weston, on a rotating basis. The amount over the years totals more than $30,000.00 for art education. The funds are raised by SCAA sponsoring the art fair, now in June known as ArtJune and in the past in August known as the Summer Art Classic, and by generous contributions from businesses and art patrons.

We want to thank all who have helped make this possible.
